The data center facility sits atop multiple power grids driven by TXU electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual diesel generators onsite. Our HVAC systems are condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with eighteen managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus)

Our web hosting servers are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by highly qualified network operations staff.  Each of our servers is also automatically monitored every 5 minutes from remote locations in Chicago, San Francisco & London.  This, combined with the high quality of our data center allows 1-Body Christian Gay Web Hosting to boast of a 99.8% average "uptime" for 2004.  This high rate of availability includes planned short outages for network, data center and server upgrades!

All of our servers have RACs installed that INSTANTLY alert 1 Body's Tech Team in the event there is a problem with the server. With our RAC, our techs can log in and take control of the server. Even if the server is COMPLETELY FROZEN, we can force a complete restart, review captured crash screens, and normally have the server back up and running within 15-45 minutes!  Why is this important?  Because it means that we can personally manage everything on our server remotely.  Most web hosts have to wait for a data center technician to respond to these type of emergencies.  Even in the BEST data centers that means "waiting your turn" among hundreds, or thousands, of other customers.  Having the capability to reboot a non-responsive server eliminates the wait and reduces the downtime.  In addition, our RACs monitor server temperature, CPU temperature, motherboards, power supplies AND memory continuously allowing us to spot many potential hardware failure points BEFORE they happen and schedule necessary maintenance giving YOU advance warning.
